GENERAL PURPOSE HALL

The 1240 occupant Hall has a generous timber-floored stage and is well positioned to accommodate the day-to-day activities of the school and functions.

The hall can be seen as the most public of buildings on the school campus: its very public position is fitting. The foyer forms a relationship with the administration reception and the outdoor entrance threshold into the school proper. This makes a very well defined sense of arrival and ease of navigation.

The position of the stage and cloakrooms allows learners to access from within the school, and can be easily accessed during sports days. The Feeding kitchen and learner entrance is positioned at the intersection of the two main axes (the entrance and public internal street). The Hall's public ablutions are easy to access from the school proper to accommodate staff members during the day.

Access from the hall to the sports field during events is also encouraged with the placement of a small terrace to the North.
